PAPUA - In a heartwarming display of community solidarity, the 323 Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, operating under the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) Operational Command HABEMA, have extended their mission beyond security to economic empowerment. On Monday, December 2, 2024, the "ROSITA" (Buy up Farming Products) program brought smiles and hope to residents of Kumikomo Village, Mageabume District, in Puncak Regency, Papua Tengah Province.

Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, Commander of the 323 Task Forces, emphasized the importance of addressing local challenges as an integral part of their mission. “Beyond ensuring security, we are here to be a pillar of support for the people. Programs like ROSITA allow us to directly contribute to the community's well-being, ” he stated.
During the activity, TNI soldiers used their personal funds to buy agricultural products, showcasing their commitment to the local economy. Their purchases not only provided immediate financial relief to the farmers but also fostered trust and connection with the community. Mama Rina Wonda, one of the villagers, expressed her gratitude with joy, saying, "Thank you, Commander 323. God bless."
The success of the ROSITA program caught the attention of Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, Commander of HABEMA, who commended the 323 Task Forces’ efforts. “The ROSITA initiative is a shining example of how the TNI integrates security and economic development to support Papua’s progress. It’s about building trust and providing hope for a better future, ” he remarked.
The ROSITA program is more than a simple transaction; it is a beacon of hope, bridging the gap between the military and the community while driving progress in a region that often faces economic challenges. By turning their security patrols into opportunities to empower local economies, the 323 Task Forces have set a powerful example of how dedicated service can transform lives.
